Hi, I'm Jamie!
Owner, worker, accountant, driver, quality controller, receptionist, and everything else that's required to run your own business.
The start of window cleaning
I grew up in the UK and in 2006 joined a friend window cleaning with a squeegee and ladder. I slowly started building my own round, with hard work, high quality and a smile.
Growth!
By 2008 I had upgraded to a van and was a very early adopter of the water-fed pole method.
Family business
Before long my brother joined me and we continued to build customers and add other external cleaning services like gutter cleaning and solar panel cleaning.
Gillies Cleaning is now run by Greg, his wife, Greg's father-in-law and a team of good, reliable workers.
Ireland
In 2019 I sold my part of the business to my brother, moved to Ireland and got married.
I'm now starting fresh, building a new window cleaning business in the West Limerick area. The same principles apply: hard work, quality and a smile!
